Velai Illa Pattathari is an commercial entertainer starring Dhanush , Amala Paul , Samuthirakani , Saranya Ponvannan, Surabhi , Music by Anirudh , Editing by M.V.Rajesh Kumar , Lyrics penned and Produced by Dhanush , Story , Screenplay , Dialogues ,Cinematography and Direction By Velraj .
The film revolves with an unemployed Civil Engineer graduate (Dhanush) who keeps on waiting to get into job on the field which was graduated . Samuthirakani and Saranya plays the parents role whose portions are framed out in a wonderful way . The problems faced by an unemployed graduate are shown with laughters and some sentiment scenes at the first half . Later , at a fine time Dhanush gets a right job and recognition which lets him to work on big project.Emotional scenes between parents and son are shown in a good way , right from the scenes involving Samuthirakani ,Saranya and the moments when Dhanush feels for his mother Saranya and misses her . Amala Paul’s character has been framed in a neat way who supports Dhanush and falls in love with him . Surabhi role is little emotional , whom dhanush considers as his mother’s re-birth .Though the story is predictable , screenplay has been shaped in an interesting way . Dialogues are good , certain lines says the real time politics , state of unemployed graduates . Anirudh’s Music background score are the big support to the movie right from sentiment scenes to mass scenes . Songs are good , specially Amma amma visual is soulful .On his 25th movie , Dhanush comes up with a good entertainer with right fun , sentiments , action and message . Velraj’s debut direction is works out well with good screenplay and dialogues from him .
