Top Movies of 2015 – WI Verdict

Every year , there are bunch of new releases in Kollywood , here comes the WI Verdict with a list of Top Movies released on last year (2015 ) . There were about 10 to 15 Releases every month with different verdicts . Some movies did big at box office , some movies where celebrated by people , some were critically acclaimed and few movies did not get the enough recognition. Sometimes the movie which were critically acclaimed may not do big in box office.   We , Team WI have classified the top movies in three different categories such as Blockbuster Hits , Sensational Hits and  Feel Good Movies of 2015. Each fan have a individual feel towards a movie and its hard to track the genuine collection of movies , So we have listed the Top movies in each category and leave the work of rating the movies in order  with you .

Miruthan & Sethupathi – WI Verdict

Jayam Ravi starring Miruthan and Vijay Sethupathi starring Sethupathi were two big releases of kollywood for this week (Feb19) , lets see a short review and verdict of both the films .

Miruthan :

The Jayam Ravi , Lakshmi Menon starrer is the first zombie thriller , an bold attempt made by director Sahakti Soundar Rajan  at kollywood. With the zombie concepts , the film has right package of love , sentiments and humor as per tamil cinema’s style . Screenplay is good , but could have been even turned ,  vfx for the movie is at its best , matched with a neat casting and background score for the film’s need .

Verdict : An Valid & Bold attempt by the makers , worth watching for cinema lovers and  people who look on different genre .

 

Sethupathi :

The Vijay Sethupathi starrer is directed by Pnnayarum Padminium fame S.U Arun Kumar . With a classy attempt on his first flick , the director has come out with a commercial movie . The film revolves around the clashes of a policeman and baddie gangster. Vijay Sethupathi does justice to the policeman role. There are humor , actions which comes along with the movie , not as a purposely added content which is an highlight of the movie . Its a feel good screenplay  but it may give a feel of an  incomplete entertainer.

Verdict : ‎An usual entertainer with a neat making.‪ For fans who are waiting to see Vijay Sethupathi in a commerical role , this film will be a good treat

Vijay 60 Goes Official

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Theri is in post production work , film is all set to hit the screens on April 2016 . After Theri , Vijay will be teaming up with director Bharath for the second time after Azhagiya Tamizh Magan .

Here is a short interview from the director about this project , Vijay‬ sir listened to the story completely and he was happy with the script and said that “Intha Padam Namma Pandrom”. I have worked as dialogue writer for the recent blockbuster Veeram.   This is my second opportunity as director, i will make good use of it and wanted to give a huge success with this movie. ‪#‎Vijay60‬ is family entertainer which will cover all audiences with Vijay’s mass and craze , said the director .

After the success of Veeram , Vijaya Producations is producing the Vijay starrer film . Rajini Murugan fame Keerthi Suresh will be paired opposite to Vijay in this film. The film has five songs penned by ‪Vairamuthu‬ , Music will be composted by ‪Santhosh Narayanan‬ , DOP Sukumar , Editing By Praveen KL . Film’s Shoot to commence in April or May.

With the project’s development on each week , recently the Vijay 60 team Ilayathalapathy Vijay , DOP Sukumar, Santhosh Narayanan , Director Bharathan , Editor Praveen KL (names mentioned in order according to photo) had a meetup .
