This New Hero will now operate at a scale never seen before– footprint in 50 countries with 20 manufacturing facilities across the globe and 100 million cumulative two-wheelers sold by 2020,” “Through our project titled ‘Leap 20’, we are bringing very high levels of innovation across our supply chain, and partnering with our suppliers to drive significant improvements in our cost structure, even as we raise the bar even higher on product quality and reliability,” pawan munjal said. Telangana – The state politics
Andhra pradesh is one of our neighbor states, with which Tamil Nadu (TN) has maintained a mutual and smooth relation which has reflected in trust in the inter-state border,river sharing. For a long time, AP is surrounded by separatist movements for Telengana state. Though not directly affected by the demand, Tamil Nadu must bear some effects from the center’s decision regarding this issue. Team WI traces the history of the ‘Telengana” state demand.
Andhra Pradesh (AP) was formed as a separate state having carved out of ‘Madras presidency’ in 1953 as a result of hunger strike by Potti SriRamalu, who subsequently died. The state consist of three regions :
- Northern part of plateau-Telengana
- Southern part- Rayala Seema
- Coastal Andhra
In 1953, the States Re organisation Commission (SRC) was not in favor of an immediate merger of Telangana region with Andhra state. SRC proposed that the Telangana region be constituted as a separate state with a provision for unification with Andhra state, after the 1961 general elections.
But, then AP CM Burgula Ramakrishna Rao supported the Congress party’s central leadership decision to merge Telangana and Andhra despite opposition in Telangana region.Andhra state assembly passed a resolution to provide safeguards to Telangana. Though doubted initially, an agreement was reached between Telangana leaders and Andhra leaders on 20 February 1956 to merge Telangana and Andhra with promises to safeguard Telangana’s interests.

It will be wise only if the movement is rationally questioned as like – Is the joint Andhra state, the only reason for Telengana’s projected backwardness? Will the new separate Telengana state solve the problems? The creation of Telengana has it’s own problems as:
- Creating smaller states with small assemblies is likely to create more political instability in the centre.
- The ‘tardy growth’ can be attributed to the successive spineless MLAs of Telengana region, who have not done much for the region’s development.
- It might reignite the clamour for more separate states (e.g. Tululand, Bodoland, Gorkhaland, Vidarba)
- Fate of Hyderabad, and the new state’s capital will certainly raise conflicts.
- The creation of separate Telengana may give rise to regional outfits chasing outsiders and minorities (like Sena group in Maharashtra)
- Telengana’s per capita income is almost equal to the coastal Andhra and more than Rayala Seema and also the geographical disadvantages would remain even if Telengana is made a separate state.
There have been several movements to invalidate the merger of Telangana and Andhra in 1969, 1972.On December 9, 2009, Government of India announced process of formation of Telangana state. But, due to violent protests in Coastal Andhra and Rayala Seema regions, the decision was put on hold on December 23, 2009. Subsequently ‘Justice Srikrishna Committee on Telengana’ was constituted in 2010.It recommended in the preferential order as:
- Keeping the state united by providing welfare measures for empowerment of Telengana region-creation of Telengana Regional Council (or)
- Bifurcation of the state into Telengana and Seemandhara, with Hyadrabad as the capital of Telengana and Seemandhara to have a new capital.
At present, there is no consensus regarding this issue. As a step forward on Telangana, the UPA government has called a meeting of its Coordination Committee for July 31- the day panchayat polls end in AP to take a view on the division of the southern State.

Above all the factors explained, there is Electoral Politics and political-administrative entity’s support which are very vital. This is not the first time ‘more time’ and ‘consultations’ have been used as an excuse to postpone a decision. Taking more time doesn’t always translate into more stability, but mostly as more uncertainty and complexity. The authorities and government should keep in mind the region’s welfare before deciding. (if at all they decide) Lets all hope the government puts a *full stop* this time instead of again putting a *comma* to this issue.

Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world and placed in southern Africa.In Madagascar , there are 86,000 children’s working on mines , Which is supported by the Government .
International Labour Organization said Children’s are working to help their parents for surviving everyday and 28 percent of children’s in Madagascar are aged between 5 and 17 working in Mines, Forming,Hotels, even prostitution.This statement was collected during 2012-September and 2013-May by ILO.ILO are trying to help children from long time and recently 830 children’s are using ILO’S educational plans and 500 peoples resume their studies,80 children’s to have vocational training. But Madagascar Government is having a rule it says anyone can be employed with three years of imprisonment in Madagascar.They are using children’s to work in Gold and various mines with less salary.Children’s are taking big risk in mines without knowing the value of that risk in those work.Many organization approached the Madagascar chief to avoid the Child labours but the response was not enough.ILO should take some big steps to control in this case.

First time in the history , German auto major BMW tied up with TVS to make sub 500cc bike.Schallar said ” We will introduce this new premium series in both our home markets in Germany, France or the US as well as emerging markets like South-East Asia, China, Brazil and India,”
We are all committed to profitable growth in market and this additional growth will happen with the help of lower cc bikes.For TVS tie up we will produce 250cc motor bike.
“BMW’s technology and quality standards are significantly higher than anything we have seen and there will be a direct rub-off on our engineering and tech expertise and an indirect rub-off on the whole system in TVS,” although there will be additional
investments in tooling, machining and manufacturing of certain parts.TVS invested 20million euros in the tie up-Srinivasan TVS head.

lags Hero and Bajaj Auto limited.Hope bike lovers will happy with this model.
