Jayam Ravi starring Miruthan and Vijay Sethupathi starring Sethupathi were two big releases of kollywood for this week (Feb19) , lets see a short review and verdict of both the films .
Miruthan :
The Jayam Ravi , Lakshmi Menon starrer is the first zombie thriller , an bold attempt made by director Sahakti Soundar Rajan at kollywood. With the zombie concepts , the film has right package of love , sentiments and humor as per tamil cinema’s style . Screenplay is good , but could have been even turned , vfx for the movie is at its best , matched with a neat casting and background score for the film’s need .
Verdict : An Valid & Bold attempt by the makers , worth watching for cinema lovers and people who look on different genre .
Sethupathi :
The Vijay Sethupathi starrer is directed by Pnnayarum Padminium fame S.U Arun Kumar . With a classy attempt on his first flick , the director has come out with a commercial movie . The film revolves around the clashes of a policeman and baddie gangster. Vijay Sethupathi does justice to the policeman role. There are humor , actions which comes along with the movie , not as a purposely added content which is an highlight of the movie . Its a feel good screenplay but it may give a feel of an incomplete entertainer.
Verdict : An usual entertainer with a neat making. For fans who are waiting to see Vijay Sethupathi in a commerical role , this film will be a good treat
